Teacher Training
Each year, The Friends of Holly Hill Farm schedules a 10-hour workshop for elementary school teachers designed to enhance their knowledge of organic farming so as to enable them to participate more fully when their respective classes are at the farm for programs and to provide them with the resources needed to develop their own in-class farm curriculum. This program has been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education. If you would like information about the next Teacher Training Workshop, please contact Education Director Jon Belber at 781-383-6565 or jbelberhollyhill@hotmail.com.
Attendance Limit: No more than 12 for each session.
Time: 10 hours which is broken down into a 6 hour farm & classroom session plus 4 hours of post-workshop self-directed planning and curriculum development.
Farm Tours
The Friends of Holly Hill Farm offers two categories of Farm Tours. The first is designed to accommodate the interest of established groups, such as garden clubs or church groups. These tours will focus on the special interests expressed by the participating group which could include such topics as the farm's growing fields and organic farming, the history of New England farming as evidenced by the farm's buildings, trails, stone walls and woods, the farm's wildflowers and so forth. Friends staff and other experts will lead the tours and provide information about the various sites.
Attendance Limit: 30 for each tour group. Additional leaders may be scheduled for larger groups. Time: 1-3 hours depending on group's time restraints.

The second category of Farm Tours are those that are open to the general public. These are designed to provide a general introduction to Holly Hill Farm and its growing fields, woods, and farm yard with its farm animals and historic barns. Information about Farm Tours will be posted in advance in the barnyard and individual registrations may be required.
